Learn how to create a watercolor effect on your wall!
See through the summer heat to the water.
Layers of transparent blues create a cool and refreshing interior in this MAKE THIS: Watercolor Wall. Combine different shades of blue in the same space for a monochromatic look that mimics the gentle swells of the ocean with WOOL .06, WATER .04, and BISQUE .06.
Create this dreamy waterscape in your own space in a few simple steps. Check out our video or read on for step-by-step instructions.
Paint your wall in 2 coats of BISQUE .06. This will be the basecoat for your Watercolor Wall. Protect your trim with painter’s tape and paper- this technique will get a little drippy at the base of the wall.
In a separate container, mix 1 part WATER .04 and 1 part water. Stir. With the diluted paint mixture, paint a 6″ line across your wall.
Using your spray bottle, spray with water to get it dripping. Use as much or as little as you want for desired effect. More water = more drips.
In a separate container, mix 1 part WOOl .06 and 1 part water. Stir. With the diluted paint mixture, paint a line below the WATER .04. Vary thickness for desired look and feel free to mix the WATER .04 and WOOL .06 together.
Spray baby spray!
Allow to dry. Remove tape and paper. Love.
