Learn how to paint an ombre wall for a nursery.
Bring a soft sweetness into your little one’s nursery with this pink ombre wall. This technique is simpler than you might think- a few quarts of paint, a couple brushes, and quick hand is all you need!
BISQUE .01 Eggshell (Determine how much paint you need for this basecoat by using our paint calculator)
1 quart PETAL .03 Eggshell
1 quart SPROUT .06 Eggshell
Blue painter’s tape
3 rollers and trays (if you have a lot of wall space to cover)
Step 1: Paint your basecoat with BISQUE .01.
Step 2: Using your level, draw a horizontal line 24″ up from the floor. Then another one at 48″.
Step 3 + 4: Using a roller or brush, fill in the bottom section with PETAL .03 and the middle section with SPROUT .06. Don’t cover your lines – you will want to see those for the next step.
Step 5: Take your brush and dip ½ in PETAL .03 and ½ in SPROUT .06. Paint over your line, blending back and forth as you go.
Step 6: Repeat for SPROUT .06 and BISQUE .01. For a more detailed explanation on how to do this step and end up with best results, check out our Aqua Fusion ombre blog.
